Temporary Disability Benefits

Temporary total disability benefits compensate you for lost wages if you are unable to work while you recover from your injury or illness for 7 or more days. You will receive 70% of your average wages, subject to a maximum set by state law.

When Does Temporary Disability End:

  • You’ve reached maximum number of weeks allowed which is 400

  • Your doctor releases you back to work

  • Your doctor finds that you have reached maximum medical improvement (Dr finds that no additional medical treatment will cure your disease or injury).

  • You fail to follow the prescribed medical treatment.
